Very relevant work lady. I literally had to explain to my 13 year old mentee yesterday why some people found the twin Transformers in the second movie offensive. (Can’t believe this commercial actually existed –> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jCoHoPoiSAE –> they were the two who actually transformed)

He (my mentee) thought they were funny, I want him to read your poem and think about it for a second.

And I had to show him the studios reaction to people being upset about the twins ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oh2Bc6O5MEA ) — they basically replaced the black robot stereotypes with similar cars who had heavy British accents in the 3rd movie.

I’d say they noticed all the fuss ( http://www.blackamericaweb.com/?q=articles/entertainment/movies/28689 )- making your poem all the more relevant to me.

I like this blog. i don’t have dreads but my mother does and I can honestly say, every REAL black woman and man should have them. But only if they understand the true meaning and significance behind them. Samson was granted supernatural strength by God in order to combat his enemies and perform heroic feats such as wrestling a lion, slaying an entire army with only a jawbone of an ass, and destroying a temple.
